1Q Sees $8.9Bln of Single-Asset CMBS Deals
CMBS investors might be getting large-loan fatigue and are demanding greater remuneration in order to buy into deals. A total of 15 single-borrower transactions with a balance of $8.9 billion priced during the first quarter, with $2.5 billion of that getting done through eight deals during the last three weeks. In contrast, for all of last year 25 single-borrower deals totaling $10.8 billion were priced. And in 2011, only seven deals totaling $3.1 billion got done.
